4base lab performs continuing services to deliver human BAC- and PAC clones for the life science industry. All of our BAC services include purification steps especially developed to remove any RNA contamination (in contrast to commercial kits) and avoid potential shearing artifacts. The 4BL process yields DNA of ultrapure quality eliminating many known problems in various downstream applications. The DNA is highly suitable for all applications like DOP-PCR, TempliPhi replication, labeling, restriction analysis, DNA sequencing, and cloning.

Services available

BACStandard		This service includes UV scanning and gel electrophoresis of undigested DNA. It is intended to obtain DNA from BAC/ PAC clones with no further characterization needed.
BACMAP		Restriction mapping of human BAC, PAC or cosmid DNA in order to establish reference data for future genetic identity/stability testing (no DNA shipment under this service).
BACVerify		BAC-DNA of frequently used clones will be digested with a reference restriction enzyme in order to confirm the identity and genetic stability of the clone prior shipment.
BACTotalPure		This service includes the removal of nicked DNA and remnants of genomic DNA followed by repurification of the DNA.
BAConCALL		4BL holds purified/verified DNA on stock to facilitate fast shipment and delivery.
